Welcome to MorningStar Community Church’s website! We recognize that people come to our site for a number of reasons. You may have come because you are thinking about going to a church for the first time in your life. We want to introduce our church to you and give you the kind of information that would make walking through the doors more comfortable.
You may come to our site because you are looking for a new church home. That can happen because of a move or because the conditions or changes in a church family result in a decision to look for a different church home. We want to provide information that answers the kinds of questions you may have.
If you are new to our site, it would be good for you to know that we also use it as a tool of communication to keep our church family informed about church events and people. This means there is a variety of information here, seeking to meet various needs.
MorningStar Community Church was established in 1890. A church family does not exist that long without seeing changes in culture, facilities, ministry style, and even location. What has not changed is the message of the Bible and our belief that God is in the business of transforming lives. That is why that for more than 100 years there have been people willing to invest in ways that bring God’s influence into other people’s lives. This rich history gives testimony to God’s faithfulness.
Maybe you live far away, like our Global Outreach partners who are serving across this globe. Maybe you live nearby, and you’ve wondered what goes on in that church at the corner of Prairie and Barnes. Maybe you are relocating to Aurora, and you are just checking us out. Whatever the case, I want to invite you to spend some time at this site. If it doesn’t answer all your questions, please contact us. Also contact us if you want to know more about following Jesus Christ. We have the time for you.
In the final analysis, church is about God using ordinary people to impact lives in extraordinary ways. Our church is made up of ordinary people who really do believe that God has revealed Himself in the Bible, so it has answers to the real issues of life.
Warmly,
Pastor Jim Behrens
